We’re Comedy For The Internet and we make funny things on the Internet!
But you probably knew that already. Like, you came all the way to this website and clicked on this blog. The chances that you landed here by accident are infinitesimally small. If you did land here by accident, please skip to the end of this blog where we can assist you further.
If you wound up here on purpose, nice. Good job. Thank you for watching our videos and enjoying them so much that you thought, “These people are great, I should look into them.” Well, here we are!
On this blog, you’re going to get updates on the projects we’re working on, some interviews with our team, and even some character blogs. Fun!
That being said, “what is Comedy For The Internet?”
We’ve been calling ourselves a “creative studio” recently, and that might be just broad enough to encompass all our interests.
We’re made up of a group of creative people that like to make things that make us (and usually others) laugh. That’s what we’ve done for years in our creative community here in Dallas. As a team, we have backgrounds in live comedy, filmmaking, writing, puppetry, music making, carpentry, and even some other skills that don’t really apply. (Though a working knowledge of food safety never hurt anyone.)
Comedy For The Internet is a coming together, or “Voltronification,” of our collective talents to produce shiny, colorful things for people all over the world! Right now, those colorful things include sketches, character videos, live experiences, and even games. In the future, we want those things to include films, and original series.
Our goal, as a team, is immortality
Think about it: They say laughter makes you live longer. Well, we’re gonna live forever, baby! Kidding. But seriously, we believe that life is just more fun when comedy is involved. That’s why we like to spread the comedy around.
Sure, our home base is the Internet (it’s in the name after all), but we also like to get out in the material world and do comedy in front of people’s faces. That’s why this year, we launched our YouTube show, “It Just So Happens On Greenville,” a sketch comedy show shot out on the streets of our own neighborhood. It’s also why we put on killer, one-of-a-kind live shows! (More on that in a sec.)
Right now, we’re working on producing more episodes of It So Happens On Greenville. We’ve also got a couple of short film projects in the works. And there are even whispers of an Animal Facts episodic series on the horizon. If you’re saying to yourself, “Wow, I’d sure like to learn more about those enticing projects as they progress,” you’re already in the right place! We’ll be posting to this blog weekly.
How Can You Support Comedy For The Internet?
Wow, what a great and thoughtful question. Thank you. Well, what if we told you, that even by reading this blog you were supporting us!?! Would that blow your mind!?!?
Okay, so reading the blog helps a little, but let’s say you want to help even more. We’ve got this beautiful new website, and we’re glad you’re here. You can check out our merch shop to grab one of the few Animal Facts shirts we have remaining. We’ve also got an Animal Facts card game, and soon, we’ll be dropping some Comedy For The Internet shirts.
On October 20th, we’ll be hosting a live Halloween comedy show in Dallas. We’ll have more info on the event and tickets really soon!
Of course, telling your friends about us helps a whole boat load too! Tell your work pal that you know the best little comedy group running. Tell your similarly-aged-and-interest-having cousin that you’ve got the tip on some fine, fresh hahas for them to enjoy. Phrase it however you want but get the word out!
For Those Of You Who Wound Up Here On Accident
Hey, thanks for skipping to the end of the blog. There’s honestly some pretty good stuff in this post, but without the right context, it might all seem like a little much. Didn’t want you to get overwhelmed.
Okay, so you wound up a couple pages deep on a website you didn’t mean to visit. Rather than feel embarrassed, you should see this as a stroke of good fortune. You actually ended up in a really fun place. The tldr; (that stands for “too long, didn’t read semicolon”) version of this post is that we’re a group of fun, funny people that make comedy videos and live shows for people to enjoy. That’s it.
If you are anti that, or you don’t want to support happiness for some reason, we have a lot of follow up questions for you about trauma, and we pity you to some degree, but hey, that’s your business. You’re welcome to hop back into the sea of angry puss that is most of the Internet.
If you like what we’re about, we encourage you to poke around our website, check out our merch, and watch our sketch comedy videos on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. We think you’re gonna like what you see!
